Neil is a dynamic teaching evangelist whose book, “Uncaged” is in almost every prison in the UK. He is a down to earth and humorous communicator. After graduating from the International Apostolic Bible College (IABC) in Kolding, Denmark, Neil moved back to his hometown in South Wales. He married Karen,(also a graduate from IABC, who is Danish) and became youth pastor of Brackla church in Bridgend. This small town in Wales had the notorious and sad reputation of having the highest suicide rate for teenagers of any town in the world! Neil found himself ministering to people caught up with the drug culture of that time. Many were touched by God’s power and came to faith, going on to serve in full time ministry.
Neil helped pioneer and lead an organisation called “Changing Lives” that worked with this group. In 2007, Neil and Karen became the leaders of a church in that same community and continued to work with transformational community projects. They then went on to plant a church in Cowbridge, South Wales. Five years later, Neil and Karen moved to Chertsey in Surrey to join the leadership team at Equippers church, part of an International movement known as Acts Churches. Karen now works full time overseeing the work of “Fun Tots”, a soft play group that serves the local community every week day in Chertsey.
Preaching & Teaching
Neil travels throughout the UK and Europe to share his amazing story and to preach and teach. He is a visiting lecturer at IABC and still has strong connections to Wales (who he passionately supports whenever there is a six nations tournament!). Neil goes into prisons and detention centres, working alongside “Releasing Captives”. He is about to complete his MA degree on Missional Church, Leadership and Church Dynamics.
